An excellent opportunity to know the ruins that are located around Imperial Cuzco is the opportunity offered by Travel and Tourism on Horseback Riding in Cusco Peru. The tour allows us to appreciate different architectural complexes such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay and Puca Pucara, places magically wrapped by an Andean mystic that transports us to the past and shows us the greatness of the ancient Inca civilization.
Itinerary
The strength of Sacsayhuaman.- It presents immense walls conformed by monumental stones. They are distributed in a zig-zag, on three platforms, and have an average of 360 meters long. There are stones up to 9 meters long and 5 meters wide.
Tambomachay.- Known as the “baths of the Inca”. Through its staircases you can see crystalline waterfalls and it is said that water was worshiped here.
Fortaleza de Puca Pucara.- Fortification formed by platforms, stairways, underground passages, towers, niches and platforms.
Qenqo Amphitheater.- Ancient Inca shrine, also built in stone. There are passages, canals and stairways with engravings that represent the sacred cougar.
The tour starts when passengers are picked up from the hotel and taken to a ranch located near the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, from where we will begin the tour. The return to the city is by private bus, after approximately 5 hours of relaxing horseback riding.
